This season sees the second time the Trophy of Champions will begin at the start of a new season rather than at end. Today's news serves as a reminder of this series along with some additional details.

Usually the end of season Trophy of Champions series features the top 30 drivers of the last season along with 3 wild cards. This series will be slightly different due to the fact one of the top 30 drivers has now retired, so we will instead have 4 wild cards participating along with the top 29 best drivers.

This seasons wild cards include Jerko Vandenbergh, Jonas Gudas, Mārcis Jr. Freiverts and Fabrício Cruz

An additional change in this seasons Trophy of Champions race schedule will see the first race of the series taking place at Spa-Francorchamps instead of Barcelona. The final 2 races will be held at the Indianapolis Oval with the final race taking place at the world renowned Monte Carlo street circuit.
