Mercedes Benz - West: Suzuka Race Results

The Suzuka race went better than I expected.

We achieved a major defensive victory at the Japanese GP. On a track dominated by engine power and straights, we managed to fight against the clearly faster Lotus throughout the race. As a result, Lotus couldn’t extend their lead over us in the constructors' standings. (Both teams scored 14 points each.)

Craig Gardner finished the race in 5th place, wrapping up the entire Suzuka race. while Oiva Hämäys secured 8th place. This meant that the Lotus cars in 6th and 7th positions didn’t gain a points advantage over us today.

A track where I feared the worst result of the season turned out to deliver a surprisingly good outcome.
