Announcing the Pegaso Driver Development Programme

Hello everyone.

Given the recent growth of the Pegaso Formula 1 team, we have decided to create some kind of 'driver academy'. I (nicorz) will run it with the help of Thisken and Keiyote, two incredibly experienced managers who will bring all their knowledge to the cause.

The idea is to monitor all the members of the Programme continuously, both their skills and their performance in the seasonal series, also taking into account variables such as rating, their results in the Open Series by Pegaso and, to a lesser extent, the contributions made each season to the F1 team in the form of voting points. To do this, we will make use of an Excel sheet that we will show in the next press release.

At the same time, we will prepare a guide to help newcomers in their first steps, as well as personalised advice for each manager on how to deal with more specific situations.

The goal of the Programme is to accompany the progress demonstrated by Pegaso and that which is to come in the next engine cycle (seasons 60-68) so that we do not have to depend on the will of others when it comes to hiring drivers.

As of today, and before knowing who wants to be considered for the academy, there are 39 drivers on our list, including all the active Spanish drivers created before the 1st of season 59 and all the drivers of the team's shareholders. The only condition to be part of the Driver Development Programme will be belonging to the Pegaso fan club.

Finally, in order to facilitate more ‘real-time’ communication between everyone, I have created a Discord server for the team. It doesn't have anything yet but it would be nice to divide it into several channels, some with information about the team in general and others about this ‘academy’.
