Rising Star Theo Fontaine Rebounds After Setbacks to Chase Glory in Season 61

At just 18 years old, Theo Fontaine is already turning heads in the world of junior motorsport. The American driver, known for his aggressive but calculated style behind the wheel, enters the 2025 season with a fresh slate and something to prove. Despite facing recent disappointments, Fontaine’s resilience and raw talent suggest he’s far from done making waves on the track.

Coming off a promising Season 60 campaign, Fontaine had been eyeing a step up to the next level. Multiple F3 and F4 teams in both national and regional series had reportedly shown interest. However, a series of missed opportunities, budget limitations, and timing conflicts led to Fontaine narrowly missing out on both an F3 and a full-time F4 seat for Season 61.

“It was a frustrating offseason,” Fontaine admitted. “We were so close to putting together a couple of great programs, but in the end, things didn’t fall into place. Still, I’m not here to dwell on what didn’t happen — I’m focused on what’s ahead.”

Rather than sitting out or waiting for a mid-season call-up, Fontaine has committed to an ambitious racing schedule in Season 61. He’ll compete full-time in three distinct series: Rookie Formula Series, Premiere Oval Series CXIII, and Phil7 Cup I - North America.

With 3 wins, 7 podium finishes, 10 Top 5s, and 13 Top 10s including qualifying on podium 5 times, he is starting Season 61 strong. Most impressively was one race where mistakes were made in qualifying, he turned the last place start to win the race!

“Motorsport is all about momentum,” Fontaine reflected. “This season, I’m building mine — one race at a time.”
