Solid Debut for Amirul Raef in Formula 4 International Series at Autódromo Oscar Cabalén
Córdoba, Argentina – [17 Oct 2025] — Malaysian rookie Amirul Raef made his Formula 4 International Series debut this weekend at the Autódromo Oscar Cabalén, completing Race 1 in 15th position after a strong and composed drive in challenging midfield conditions.
Starting from the middle of the grid, Amirul managed to avoid early incidents on the opening lap and maintained consistent pace throughout the 16-turn, 4-kilometre circuit. Despite pressure from cars around him, he showed maturity and control, bringing the car home safely to secure valuable experience and data for the team.
> “It feels incredible to finally make my debut in Formula 4,” said Amirul after the race. “The start was intense, especially into Turn 1, but I focused on staying clean and learning as much as possible. The track is quite technical — especially the section from Turn 10 to 15 — and it really taught me about tire management and race rhythm. Overall, I’m happy to finish and take this as a strong first step forward.”
Amirul highlighted tire wear as one of the key challenges of his first full-length race, noting that maintaining rear grip over the closing laps required precise throttle control and patience. Despite this, his consistent pace and disciplined approach impressed his engineers and laid a solid foundation for the races ahead.
> “For a debut race, P15 is a solid result,” Amirul added. “The goal was to finish, learn, and bring the car home. Now we’ll focus on improving qualifying and finding more pace for Race 2. I’m really grateful to the team and everyone supporting me back home — this is just the beginning.”
The team expressed satisfaction with Amirul’s composed debut, emphasizing that finishing the race cleanly on such a technical circuit is a promising sign of potential for the rest of the season.
