Indy Jr International enters it's mid - season Oval series in Canada today and Ray Striver is more than holding his own sitting 4th in the standings with just a wins worth of points separating the top five...

Our reporter Mike Raffone was in the Crazy Torque garage with the crew as the team reacted to the live feed showing Ray spear off line and take to the wall, bringing out the races' first full course caution and registering his first DNF of the season.

"I didn't get a chance to speak with him, Ray doesn't take these kinds of things well. He returned, parked his helmet and bailed to the truck in the paddock, but we caught a word with Adamski".

"Ugh, what a ballache, we've been so consistent in the opening rounds never straying far from 3rd or 4th, but Ray is a circuit racer, the was a lot of trepidation around us on the ovals as it's a bit of an unknown. We'd been held up in 4th for a good 100 laps but staying so close to Vukovic was key as our pit crew is phenomenal, Sure enough we stopped three seconds faster, jumped to third and pulled a gap, I don't know what happened but there it is, one wrecked machine and a major hit in our title chase. The one solace we can take from this is that our major competitors took limited points today so the drop to 5th isn't so harsh, congratulations to Vukovic for the win... but you have to think, as we had passed him in the pit lane, that could have been our race win..."

As is often publicised, Ray is very concious of his ranking, that's the biggest hit we took today, and we have a good five more ovals to negotiate before we're back on the tracks he prefers.

Crazy Torque is rumoured to be styling a radical new livery for Season 13, but quite where they will race is anyone's guess...
