Overton claims Season 46 NASC Truck Championship

AVONDALE, Arizona - After a very strong sophomore season in the NASC Truck Cup series, Willie Overton finished in the best possible way: winning the race and championship in Phoenix.

Capping off a season that featured 7 wins and 12 pole positions, Overton started on the pole in Phoenix and checked out from the rest of the field, leading 129 of the 150 laps.

"What an awesome season," Overton said when interviewed after the race. "We stayed consistent all season, and it's great to finish it with a win here!"

When asked about his future plans, Overton said, "I love it here in the Truck series, but we're keeping our options open for now."
