As Gardner's COTA curse continued for another season, it was clear that Craig had a different opinion of the incident which took place on the back straight;

"I covered the inside line before the braking zone like you're supposed to do when someone is trying to pass you, and the next thing I know I've been rammed and my entire rear axle is dead. What a freaking moron CSG is..."

- Gardner, what is your response to the commentary panel saying it was your fault for cutting her off late?

"Who was commentating this race? Richard Dickson again? He's had a vendetta against me as far back at V8 Supercars, everyone with a brain knows that it's the trailing drivers responsibility to avoid contact there, and the only consolation I can take from all of this is that CSG crashed out of the race in the process of taking me out."
