TOYOTA GAZOO - Australia Post Race

Season 63 has officially kicked off in Melbourne, Australia, and we're eager to see how a drastically different grid looks around the Toyota roster.

Driver Michael Novikov started the season strong, qualifying top five and taking silver on the podium in P2, finishing definitively ahead of several rivals. If any questions have been raised about Novikov's age regression in the offseason, our season opener has certainly quelled them.

Driver Dmitry Starostachev II had a rough start, making a mistake in qualifying to get knocked out in Q3 and starting at P22. However, thanks to an incredible performance from Starostachev and a bold alternative strategy, he made up a full nine positions to finish only just outside the points in P13 and taking home fastest lap, nearly a hundredth ahead of Aljaž Zupančič of Porsche Racing.

We've certainly made a statement in Albert Park, and we're prepared to double down in Shanghai. Another strong performance awaits in China!
