Press Releases - The Formula Winter Series return with the 2nd edition
The Formula Winter Series return with the 2nd edition

The FORMULA WINTER SERIES returns this season, dedicated to drivers aged 18 to 20 with a maximum rating of 500,000.
This year, the races have been reduced to one per track instead of two, and will all be held in Spain at the circuits of JEREZ, CHESTE, NAVARRA and BADAJOZ.
The number of registered participants is also smaller than in the first edition; at the time of writing, there are 34 out of 43 available spots. However, there will also be many drivers from various nationalities participating (17), some of whom will be trying for victory as they have registered for the second time! Here is the list:
SPAIN and ITALY are confirmed as the two countries with the most registered drivers, with 6 drivers each!
ITALY will no longer be able to count on Retarra, winner of the previous WINTER SERIES at 21, but will compete again with RAGNI, who has become the leading pilot. Closer to the top are SOLITRO II, NUVOLARI JR., DE PALO, and MARZULLO, along with newcomer CACCO.
SPAIN, on the other hand, following the departure of Padi and Dios, has a strong chance of winning with SOLER, who has gained considerable experience. BENAVENT (4th in the ranking) and VILLEGAS are also confirmed, while MAJOR and the two brother/sister teams COSTA MARC and LUNA are participating for the first time.
The third-most registered nation remains the UNITED STATES, with three new pilots: VERMONTE, HICKMAN and MILLER.
SWEDEN, AUSTRALIA and FINLAND as new entrant, with two pilots registered.
For SWEDEN, SIGFRIDSSON is confirmed, while 18-year-old PALM-BEGANOVIC replaces Aalberg.
AUSTRALIA, on the other hand, confirms FORREST and replaces Kerr with 18-year-old BROWN.
FINLAND isn't particularly ambitious but will gain experience with its two drivers PAALU and TOIVO-TALISMAA.
And now the remaining nations will race with their only driver!
The most likely winner of this edition's WINTER SERIES is GREEK driver KARAGIAN II.
For RUSSIA, MORGAN will be ranked 5th.
GREECE and RUSSIA are also participating in this competition for the first time, as are two South American countries: COLOMBIA and VENEZUELA, with POMPEYO and VELASQUEZ.
SLOVAKIA retains DIENES, GERMANY SOLLFRANK (3rd in the ranking), ARGENTINA is placing its trust in COLEMANN, PORTUGAL in BREYNER, while CANADA remains with BERG.
Nations with a completely new driver participating in this competition for the first time are INDONESIA with RICARDO, FRANCE with TRUAND, and POLAND with LEWANDOWSKI JR.
The FORMULA WINTER SERIES II will award the following coin prizes to the winners:
1st place: 7 coins
2nd place: 4 coins
3rd place: 3 coins
4th place: 2 coins
5th place: 1 coin
We wish all the drivers the best of luck!
