C'est le champion du monde en titre Romain Louis Grosjean Jr qui s'est chargé des premiers tours de piste.

La voiture s'est révélée extrêmement maniable avec des performances encore en hausse par rapport à son illustre devancière. La RBVF1#17 établit ainsi une nouvelle référence absolue en F1 !
