Tijdens de race op Fontana Speedway heeft Raymond van de Pol zijn beste resultaat tot nu toe in de Indy jr geboekt. De 9e plaats in de kwalificatie was een redelijk normaal resultaat. Maar een goede strategie en twee goede pitstops zorgde er voor dat hij als 4e over de streep kwam.

Met goede moed gaat hij nu richtig mid-ohio.
