Tijdens de kwalificatie van de formule 3 wedstrijd op Belle Isle heeft Raymond van de Pol zijn eerste baanrecord behaald.
In zijn Lola kwam hij tot 01:21.727. dat was niet alleen goed genoeg voor de Pole positie maar ook voor een nieuw baanrecord. Hij is trots op dit redultaat en hoopt dat dit de eerste van vele is.
