Formula Winter Series

The new FORMULA WINTER SERIES for young drivers aged 18 to 20 is finally underway after a long wait to fill the 43 available spots! The event aims to promote new drivers with a 500k ranking (some of them have since taken their level up a bit thanks to positive results in other races). It promises to be a great competition, with many countries registered (20!) competing from February 11th to 22nd on the Portuguese and Spanish tracks of ESTORIL, ALGARVE, ARAGÓN, and BARCELONA!

Let's take a closer look at the protagonists.

SPAIN and ITALY are the two most represented countries in this competition, with 8 drivers each.

For ITALY, the two most highly rated drivers are undoubtedly the 20-year-olds Retarra and Graziani, followed by the 19-year-olds Ragni and Solitro II, followed by Bussinello (21 but 20 when he registered), and finally the 18-year-olds Nuvolari, De Palo, and Marzullo.

For SPAIN, Padi and Dios have the highest rankings, followed by Soler, Ferrer, Benavent, and Salgado, while at the lower levels, attempting to climb, are Villegas and Tabasco.

GERMANY and the UNITED STATES have three registered drivers.

The UNITED STATES has three highly ranked drivers: Emerson, Waltrip, and Snyder III, who promise to put up a fight.

GERMANY, on the other hand, has its best driver, 20-year-old Freimann, who has already gained extensive experience in several external series, while 18-year-olds Sollfrank and Schulz will be looking to climb the rankings.

And now here are the nations with two entries.

AUSTRALIA: 20-year-old Kerr is the most highly-rated, occupying 4th place in the rankings, while 18-year-old Forrest starts in the lower half.

INDONESIA: has two high-ranking 20-year-old drivers: Wonyoung and Haryanto

SLOVAKIA: has two mid-ranking drivers: Villeneuve and Dienes

SWEDEN: has two mid-ranking 19-year-old drivers: Aalberg and Sigfridsson (who, like Germany's Freimann, has taken part in numerous, even more, foreign series!)

CANADA: has two low-ranking 18-year-old drivers who will try their best: Berg and Gauthier

Finally, the following nations are participating with only one driver.

SLOVENIA: 20-year-old Sara Repnik seems to be the most highly-rated driver so far, promising to win over all the males!

CHINA: Second in the rankings, competing against Slovenian Repnik is Chinese driver Sun, who recently turned 21 (though he was 20 when he registered)

FRANCE: Fabre, 19, is starting with a high ranking.

HUNGARY: Seres III is also a 19-year-old driver with a high ranking.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Abdullah is the best driver from this nation, aged 18, and finished first in the Intercontinental World Series. He's one to watch, even though he's starting in the mid-range.

POLAND: Krol, 19, is starting with a mid-range ranking.

BAHAMAS: Holding this unusual nation high is another female driver, just 18, the best driver from the Bahamas: Williams. Williams has already proven herself very strong, especially in external rally series, winning two races in South America and some islands. But can she also do well in a Formula 4? He's starting from a mid-to-low ranking but will certainly give it his all to climb the ladder!

PORTUGAL: 18-year-old Breyner is starting from a mid-to-low ranking and will be the only Portuguese driver to hold his pride high at his two home tracks!

Finally, we find three lower-ranked eighteen-year-old drivers: Colemann for ARGENTINA, Cihlar for the CZECH REPUBLIC, and Lemus for MEXICO.

The FORMULA WINTER SERIES will award the following coins to the winners:
1st place: 8 coins
2nd place: 6 coins
3rd place: 4 coins
4th place: 2 coins
5th place: 1 coin

And that's it, good luck to all the participants!
