The team will be based in the city of Río Cuarto, located in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. This city is historically known as “The Empire of the South,” a nickname with a unique and meaningful origin. In 1890, after the provincial government intervened in the municipal administration and removed the elected mayor from office, the citizens strongly demanded their autonomy. From the governor’s office, the people of Río Cuarto were accused of acting like “imperialists” for refusing to accept outside control over their own city. What began as a criticism eventually became a symbol of identity: with pride, the inhabitants adopted the nickname and began calling themselves “the people of the Empire.”

Inspired by that spirit of identity, independence, and character, Escudería Imperio is born. The project begins with a clear idea: to build a competitive environment where passion for racing and teamwork are the fundamental pillars.

Like any new project, the journey starts with expectations, effort, and the conviction that great structures are built step by step. The goal is to form a group of people committed to competition, constant improvement, and mutual support among its members.

From day one, the team will work with dedication to develop a car capable of meeting the expectations and challenges that each season brings.

More than just a team, Escudería Imperio aims to become a community of drivers who share the same ambition: to compete, improve, and leave their mark in every race.
