Podium non-streak finally over
It took 216 races and more than 2 years but finally Louis "The Lip" Gagliano finished on the podium with a 2nd place finish in Japan at Suzuka.
As he crossed the finish line 2.4 behind winner Teofil Morava the camera showed "The Lip" taking a deep exhale as the pressure to excel was for the moment off his chest. Once out of his car the crazy man from Colorado made a statement to show the stress he was under.
"Once I graduated to this big league I knew this would be a tough lesson to learn but I never knew how long and hard it was. The fact that I had to leave America for this one race to help me focus better doesn't matter. I just wanted to learn how to win again. Hopefully this will be start of many more podium visits."
Next up for the lip a quick trip to Argentina for the Parana Grand Prix before heading back to America where he hopes to keep the momentum going in Mid-Ohio and New Jersey later in the day.
