F1 Car Comparison

With only one week to go until the next season starts, 10 teams out of 15 have already revealed their car. With the recently injected sponsor money the situation is bound to change as teams update their cars with new parts and packages. But at the moment we already do have some data to speculate on!

The car is measured with five numbers: Speed, Acceleration, Braking, Handling and Reliability. Different tracks call for different aspects of car, but I took the liberty of just adding all the stats together for a Total number. This number tells the overall strength of the car of each team, but you do have to finish the race to score points. Reliability might play a big role in the coming season!

Here are Total numbers for each team with revealed car:

Team -- Total
Red Bull -- 4062.2
Jordan -- 4026.1
Trabant -- 4016.6
Ferrari -- 3932.5
CHIPPer -- 3893.1
Europe -- 3880.3
HamrdHedZ -- 3843.3
Marussia -- 3802.7
DEM -- 3795.5

With such good drivers and a great car, Red Bull seems to be very strong in the Team Championship speculations. OMR with their very competitive driver line-up has yet to reveal their car though. The 4 other remaining teams who are finishing the development their car will surely do their best to skew these current Totals too!

At the moment Philippe de Saint-Germain Jr has an excellent starting point when it comes to the competition for Driver Championship. It's not yet public knowledge, but I'm sure Mercedes and OMR will do their best to give their top drivers a good car with a fighting chance. CHIPPer has also two excellent drivers and who knows what they can cook up in their development department. There are still few days left!

Fun fact of the moment
Best Reliability: Trabant (997.7)
