Anybody Fancy Trying To Explain This?

So... at the start of this week, I was in contention for Superb Formula title...

Tuesdays race, I literally fell foul of 1% in weather parameters, pitting for wets as the track then ironically started to dry, as I predicted it would, and didn't intend to stop... "Oh well..." I think, these things happen when driving on the very cusp of weather parameters...

But this... this I have no explanation for. In my 7 years of MRC, I've never seen something so absurd.

After a messy Qualifying, I start P12, bear in mind, my driver is more than used to starting on the front row in Superb Formula, and has racked up a few legitimate wins in the series this season, on raw pace.

Starting P12, I think, "let's get brave!" And throw a rapid strategy out there, this is a one stop race... So I opt for two stops, that puts me on HALF of the fuel load of the guys around me and three juicy sets of 100% slick tyres in bone dry, hot conditions. On any normal day this spells "Mercedes from the back of the grid" kind of F1 pace...

But no... instead Zaggro drops 12 POSITIONS on lap 1! No sign of "Mistake" on the race feed, 100% slick tyres... dry weather, perfect archived setup...

He then continues to lose around 4 SECONDS PER LAP to the leaders and steadily drop place by place, until he is flat last... again, no mistakes, no damage, perfect tyres and low fuel... slower than and being overtaken by INACTIVE DRIVERS...

Please, feel free to shed some light on this. The only conclusion I can come to is that all of my setup gauges glitched to Zero value... it happened once a few weeks ago after archiving setup in pre-race practice, but thankfully I saw it and acted. I am 99% certain that this didn't happen on this occasion or i would have seen it... But it is honestly the only thing i can fathom.

If anybody needs me, I'll be busy taking the biggest rank loss to any of my drivers in seven years, and penny pinching wherever possible, as I now likely won't even take a profit from this series...
