TOYOTA GAZOO - Singapore Post Race
The race in Singapore has concluded, and we can confidently say that everything went right for Toyota Gazoo. An electric qualification and exceptional race day from both drivers led to an outstanding double points finish.
Driver Dmitry Starostachev II stormed away with the race, very nearly completing a grand slam in his second ever Formula 1 victory with pole position, fastest lap (by around seven tenths of a second), a P1 finish and 58 of the 62 laps lead around the circuit. His performance was nothing short of exceptional, taking a full 13 second lead from P2 by lap 56.
Michael Novikov also demonstrated remarkable driver skill and perseverance, managing to finish inside the points at P7 from his P4 start despite taking minor vehicle damage on lap four.
Overall, an excellent racing session for Toyota Gazoo Racing and its fans. We hope to deliver a similarly exciting performance on Circuit of the Americas.
