McLaren Racing becoming Team Penske F1

Today, a deal about the sale of 92,50% shares of McLaren Racing was closed. The shares will be transferred to the new majority owner at season 36, day 71. Subsequently, the team will be relocated in the U.S. and be rebranded into Team Penske F1.

To have a smooth transition, current team management will provide assistance until end of season 37 and from side of the team, existing contracts and agreements with drivers Bum, Novikov and Szabo will stay upright until end of season 40.

The partners agreed upon handling further details concerning the deal with confidence.
