Phil7 Motorsports Prepares for New Season!

Season 65 was seen as a success to Phil7 Motorsports, starting with their senior member Brooks Robinson, who in his first season back in Supercars finished 2nd in the series getting 7 wins along the way against tough competition. He is again one of the favourites competing for the title in the upcoming season as he hopes to improve on his performance.

Derek Jacob has decided to stay in the Trucks series for Season 66 after finding some success as a 19 year old in his first full season series, despite not achieving as a win or podium finish, they consider it a job well done as he has already been scouted for sponsors as he looks to keep improving his skills for next season onward.

On the National side, Brooks Robinson had his best season yet as a Team Canada driver, finishing with a career best 942 Points and 10 wins along with finishing top 5 in 21 out of the 22 races in the season, only time out of it being an unlucky DNF. Brooks finished 2nd in the U25 category and 3rd in the world overall to rival Aleš Zupančič who gained the lead late and never gave it back.

Brooks had this to say about his Nations Cup season, "I'm not going to make excuses, it was a tough battle, Nations Cup has the toughest racing other than Formula 1 and Zupančič was the better driver in the second half."

Jacob had a much more unsuccessful stint with Team Canada only finishing within the top 10 twice throughout the season but gained much needed experience as they look to rebuild the team in the next couple seasons.

The team is excited to see how they continue to develop for Season 66 as Brooks is only hours away from taking his first qualifying run in Adelaide. Jacob will have to wait until June 3rd to begin his season officially.
