Redemption

“When I went off the track, I thought to my self: 'Here we go again.' But when I got back on, I decided I wasn't about to give up.” Lyn Vos told the press during an emotional post race interview. It was a combination of determination and a good pit strategy that had returned Lyn to the top ten and eventually to the seventh spot in the race. When the race was over, Lyn leaped out of her car and embraced several members of the pit crew.

“It felt so good to finish that race in seventh. Crashing in the first race and then messing up here in Australia again. I really felt like I was letting the entire team down. The second part of this race was my redemption and I needed it so badly. I'm just.... happy.”

When she was asked about Wingelmann's win she just smiled. “It's great for him. I'll go and congratulate him properly when I've settled down. Which... might take a few days.”
