Hal Rooke Shows Steady Progress in Rookie Formula 4 Season, Eyes First Win Ahead
Rookie Formula 4 driver Hal Rooke is reaching the end of his second week on the circuit, showing consistent speed and composure in an increasingly competitive field. With nine top-ten qualifying finishes, including two pole positions, Rooke has proven he can keep pace with drivers who have far more experience at this level.
Race results have been mixed so far, with five top-ten finishes and two podiums, the best being a hard-fought second place at the Circuit de Monaco. A few mechanical setbacks and unpredictable track conditions have kept his first win just out of reach, but both team and driver say there’s plenty of season left to learn and improve.
“Hal’s really starting to find his rhythm,” said Georg Aasen, Rooke’s race engineer. “He’s getting better at reading the car and adapting when things don’t go as planned. The new setup should let him drive more naturally and capitalize on his pace — we’re excited to see how that translates on race day.”
Rooke is currently testing a new car setup designed to better match his aggressive driving style, aiming to improve handling over longer stints. “Every race teaches me something new,” Rooke said. “We’re finding the right balance, and I feel more confident in the car every session.”
Fans can follow Rooke’s progress as he continues to find his footing across the 2026 Formula 4 season.
