TOYOTA GAZOO - Austin Post Race
The Circuit of the Americas Grand Prix has wrapped up in Austin, Texas, and it was certainly not what we desired.
Driver Michael Novikov started a respectable P5 on the grid after another consistent performance in qualifying, but faced inoperable vehicle malfunction and was forced to retire on lap 12 of the race.
Driver Dmitry Starostachev II had a less than ideal qualifying session, and despite an excellent showing on race day to take ten positions from his P21 start, he still finished just outside the points in P11.
This was a session that settled far outside expectation for Toyota Gazoo Racing. We hope to take what we can to learn from it and move on to planning for Mexico.
