Lyn reaches top 500 driver rankings

Experts are still putting together the latest weekly driver rankings. But it's all but certain that the young Dutch driver Lyn Vos has managed to claim a spot among the top 500 drivers in the world.

After 8 straight top 10 place finishes in the North American series, Lyn has climbed up the ranks. If nothing changes she'll be 490th in the world and 7th within the Netherlands. She is one of the few drivers to reach such fame without ever winning a race in F3.

"I'm extremely grateful to all my fans and sponsors, this wouldn't have been possible without your support. Season 10 has been a great season for me so far, but I intend to push myself to greater heights next season. I know season 10 isn't over yet. I hope to hold onto 9th next weekend. Fingers crossed."

Lyn's future is unclear. It's all but certain that she'll leave the North America series. Why she is leaving or where she is going is unclear.
