We rolled out in Caracas race not expecting much from Tex Cobb he was buried in pack from his poll position.. The track is technically difficult and Tex has not been in top 10 in open race only once.. The race was filled with many accidents and safety car laps were more then laps under green.. Such was Lap 25 when safety Car pulled back in.. To the team surprise Tex began a rapid climb up 6 places to number 7 finding himself Behind Bruce Wayne, We expect Wayne the veteran driver to pull away but coming out turn 13 Tex shot past Wayne into 6th position.. The team was cheers could be heard over The Crowd cheers for the leader.. For 2 laps the rookie kept ahead of The top American driver but on lap 29 Wayne attempt=d to pass the cars bumped both cars was damage but Tex's Car got this worst of it and was forced to pit.. With monetary budgets being at dismall state of affairs we had lost our mechanic and front wing was badly damaged rubbing into tire... crew attempted to straighten and get car back out quickly. This turned into the cars undoing because they forgot to change the tire and it blewout car had bad crash and Tex was out of race. he exited andripped damage section off the car and tossed it into crowd the laughed and smile waving to crowd..
