TOYOTA GAZOO - Monaco Post Race

The Toyota Gazoo team's visit to Monaco has drawn to a close, and our results are certainly a mixed bag.

Driver Michael Novikov clinched his second straight race win during the session, storming past rivals with a P3 start in qualifying and beating out both Redbull cars on the podium for gold. His continued star performances have done well to keep Toyota in contention for the title, and show promise for a potential fifth world driver's championship.

Driver Dmitry Starostachev II had a harder time in Monaco. After a strong qualifying session that saw him start P7 on the grid, he wasn't able to control the vehicle out of Grand Hotel Hairpin and became one of the six different race DNF drivers on the Portier corner. We are happy to see that he has not sustained any injury, and we hope to see him perform back at full capacity before the next race.

All in all, Monaco was filled with ups and downs for the Toyota Gazoo Racing team. We plan to continue the fight for the title as vicariously as we can going into Barcelona.
