Is It Really the Game… or How We Choose to Play It?
I don’t think the core gameplay of My Racing Career needs fundamental changes. If the game starts to feel stale, there’s actually quite a lot users can do about it.
As you mentioned, many people fall into the same patterns, same career path, same specialization, similar or even identical series progression… If you repeat that for years (or even over a decade), it’s natural that things begin to feel repetitive. But MRC already offers a wide range of possibilities that, in my opinion, are rarely fully explored.
We have circuit racing, motorcycles, and rally. How many players have genuinely tried to master all three? Personally, that’s exactly what I’m aiming to do. I’ll always keep one driver focused on circuit racing, but I plan to rotate the second one across different disciplines.
MRC also offers much more than just F1. There are also Racing Clubs and Nations Cup that often get overlooked. Formula 1 style progression isn’t the only way to play.
That beeing said, I do agree there are areas where things feel stale, but for me, it’s more about the community side than the game itself.
Firstly, the forum and personal messaging system feel outdated, like something from the late 90s. There’s no way to edit posts, delete messages, share links easily, or add images. Improving these basic tools would make interaction much more engaging.
Secondly and more importantly, there’s no real sense of a global community! Instead, we have isolated “bubbles” that rarely interact. I see many community badges, but not much effort to actually connect those groups or encourage broader interaction. Strengthening that aspect could bring a lot of fresh energy into the game.
So for me, the issue isn’t that the game lacks depth, it’s that we’re not fully using what’s already there, and the community structure isn’t helping to bring people together.

Like on open bag of crisps, or milk left out too long, this game has lost its freshness and has grown sour and stale. The daily rinse-and-repeat is wearing thin. It needs life breathed back into it—fierce competition, meaningful stakes, someth...
