Pegaso announces major sponsorship deal with Pioneer Corporation
Pegaso, Spain's Formula One Team, has revealed Japanese electronics manufacturer Pioneer as its main sponsor for seasons 68 to 75.

Expectations are very high at the Flying Horse's factory ahead of the new engine regulations, and for a good reason. Over the last eight seasons, Pegaso has established itself as a solid alternative in the absence of Red Bull or Porsche, both on the track and financially. So much so that it is one of only three teams, alongside Red Bull and Aston Martin, not to tank in the last two seasons, finishing fourth and sixth in the standings of seasons 66 and 67.
For season 68, Pegaso will retain its driver line-up, comprising World Champion John Cannon and 'franchise driver' Remco Raveel, who will race for the team for the final time. The experienced pairing will tackle new challenges, including the aforementioned new engine regulations and changes to the tyre system.
At the same time, Pegaso will have a title sponsor for the first time since seasons 41-48, when they had Repsol, now a minor partner under its CS Lubricantes brand. The 268 and 269 car liveries will also feature Spanish sustainable clothing manufacturer Ecoalf, along with sponsorship from Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where it was photographed for the first time.

"Bringing Pioneer's legacy of innovation to Pegaso is a great way to mark the start of a new era. One where we expect to reach goals we had never thought of just a few seasons ago. The deal will let us invest heavily in the areas we still lack, and our aim is to compete for the championship within 3 seasons. Based on our experience and slow but steady progress, we believe this is a realistic target, and we cannot wait to hit the track in Melbourne next week." - said Team Manager nicorz.
Pegaso has also announced it will launch its new website in the first week of Season 68, where fans can access all Pegaso-related information, exclusive content, and more.
